Convert PDF to Word without uploading the file

PDF-to-Word converters that upload the file can read every line. If the document is a contract, a résumé, or a scan of an ID, that is the wrong trade.

PDF to Word builds a .docx in the browser: text, layout as far as the PDF allows, and embedded images. If the PDF is scanned (almost no selectable text), the tool says so. You can still download page images in Word, or run on-device OCR (English). OCR loads an engine in this tab — the file still does not leave the device.

What to expect

Digital PDFs convert better than photographs of paper. Complex multi-column layouts may need a tidy-up in Word. That is true of every converter; the difference here is the PDF never hits our servers, because there are none for files.
