An iLovePDF and Smallpdf alternative with no size limit
Upload-and-cap is a business model, not a law of PDFs. A browser tab does not need a 15 MB ceiling.
iLovePDF and Smallpdf are good products for people who do not mind an upload. Their free tiers cap file size and daily jobs because the work runs on their GPUs and disks. That cap is a price. It is not a property of PDF.
Why free tiers cap you
A 40 MB scan sent to a farm costs CPU, bandwidth, and retention risk. The rational response is “15 MB, two tasks a day, then pay.” Watermarks on the free output are the same logic. None of that applies if the browser is the computer. Your tab already has the file. pdf-lib and PDF.js do not invoice us per megabyte, so we do not invoice you.
UnlimitedPDF is not Acrobat. We do not do prepress, live XFA, or certified redaction. We do compress, merge, split, PDF-to-Word, JPG-to-PDF, PDF-to-JPG, image resize, and an on-device X-Ray. No account, no watermark, no size quota on our side — only RAM. A 200-page scan may fail on a phone and succeed on a laptop. That is the honest trade against “please log in to continue.”
What “no upload” changes for a contract
The usual alternative still stores the NDA long enough to process it. Retention policies are marketing. If the file never arrives, retention is not a question. Start at compress without uploading or the compressor.
Ads on some pages pay the domain. They are not a paywall in front of Download. Analytics see that /compress loaded, not the bytes of the lease.
UnlimitedPDF processes files in your browser. Nothing in these guides requires an upload.
